Les femmes du quartier Thierno Djibia dans la commune urbaine de Kindia en compagnie de certains jeunes de la localité ont procédé ce jeudi 8 Avril 2021 à l’assainissement de la grande mosquée de leur quartier. C’est une initiative des femmes de la localité appuyée par les jeunes. Cette opération d’assainissement s’inscrit dans le cadre des préparatifs du mois saint de ramadan.
« Nous sommes venus nettoyer la mosquée parce que le mois béni de Ramadan arrive dans quelques jours. Comme c’est le mois de ramadan qui arrive nous ne pouvons pas rester comme ça sans rien faire donc nous avons pris l’initiative d’assainir complètement notre lieu de culte » explique Hadja Binta Barry résidente dudit quartier.
Sachant bien que l’année dernière, la population n’a pas prié dans les mosquées à cause de la pandémie à COVID-19, Hadja Binta Barry précise qu’il fallait assainir les lieux de culte « nous savons que l’année dernière nous n’avons pas eu la chance de prier dans les mosquées pendant le mois de ramadan à cause de la maladie de Coronavirus puisque la maladie est causée par les saletés, nous avons décidé de nous débarrasser des saletés. Ensuite il y a une femme de notre localité qui nous a apporté son soutien, comme elle a constaté que nos tapis sont beaucoup dégradés elle a demandé aux hommes de mesurer l’intérieur de la mosquée après elle est partie commander de nouveaux tapis. La donatrice n’a pas voulu qu’on dise son nom mais je profite pour remercier infiniment cette femme. Surtout j’invite les autres citoyens d’emboiter ses pas » lance-t-elle.
Pour sa part, Aïssatou Thiam une autre initiatrice de cet assainissement insiste sur le respect des mesures sanitaires « nous savons généralement pendant le mois de ramadan les gens viennent très nombreux dans les mosquées et tout le monde n’a pas la même santé mais comme on ne peut pas détecter comme ça qui est malade ou pas, le mieux est de respecter les mesures nécessaires surtout le port du masque » a-t-elle laissé entendre.
Pour Souleymane Sow chef animateur de la jeunesse c’est un devoir pour les jeunes d’accompagner cette d’initiative. Il invite par la même occasion, les citoyens des autres quartiers à s’inscrire dans la même dynamique.
