La problématique de toilettes publiques constitue un vrai calvaire dans la commune de Matoto. Dans cette circonscription, on compte du bout des doigts les toilettes publiques et celles qui existent sont visiblement impraticables. Interrogées, des citoyennes ont expliqué leur calvaire. C’est le cas de Mayéni Soumah rencontrée au marché de Matoto.
« Ce sont les besoins primaires auxquels l’État doit faire face, normalement c’est au rôle de l’État de construire des toilettes payantes pour la population. Chaque commune doit avoir des toilettes publiques dans les lieux publics » indique-t-elle.
Cette vendeuse Mamaïssata Soumah dénonce le manque criard de toilettes publiques, elle est obligée d’aller chez les voisins pour se mettre à l’aise. C’est pourquoi elle lance cette invite à l’Etat «L’État n’a qu’à investir dans la construction des toilettes publiques dans les places publiques et autres, cela permettra de donner une bonne image à la capitale Conakry, parce que s’il n’y a pas assez de toilettes, ce sont les couloirs de certains lieux qui vont sentir» signale-t-elle.
Après un constat sur le terrain, toutes les communes sont confrontées au problème de toilettes publiques.
